Support terms.
These terms apply to voluntary payments made through the Arca Open Hardware Lab Stripe Payment Link.
Who receives the payment
Payments are made to Arca Computer, Inc., a Delaware for-profit corporation operating the Arca Open Hardware Lab. The lab is not a charity or tax-exempt organization.
What support means
Your payment supports independent hardware testing, public research evidence, lab equipment and upstream open-source work. It is voluntary and does not purchase hardware, services, access, attribution, advertising, editorial control, a favorable result or a promised upstream contribution.
No charitable deduction
Payments are not charitable contributions and are not tax-deductible as charitable donations. Stripe's receipt confirms payment processing; it is not a charitable-donation receipt.
Amount and processing
You choose a one-time amount in USD, subject to the limits displayed by Stripe. Stripe processes the payment and may offer payment methods based on your location and account. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy also apply to its checkout.
No specific work guarantee
Support joins the general OHL pool and does not reserve a product, operating system, test slot, publication date or report. The lab publishes allocations when money is assigned to particular hardware, logistics or research work.
Refunds and payment errors
Voluntary support payments are normally final. For duplicate charges, payment errors or suspected unauthorized use, email ohl@arca.computer within 14 days. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
Independence
Support never buys a positive verdict. Arca may publish failures, security-relevant findings, funding disclosures and conflicts of interest as part of the research record.
Questions
Contact ohl@arca.computer before paying if you need clarification. These terms may change prospectively; the version shown when you pay applies to that payment.
